Justice Margaret White was appointed Deputy President of the Defence Force Discipline Appeal Tribunal on 28 November 2008. Justice White has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland since 1992.
Justice White graduated in law from the University of Adelaide in 1966. She was a senior tutor and temporary lecturer in law at the University of Queensland from 1970 until she went to the private Bar in Queensland in 1983. She was appointed Master of the Supreme Court in 1990 and a Judge of that court in 1992. She has held an acting commission in the Queensland Court of Appeal from October to December 2008.
Justice White was in the WRANS Reserve from 1967 to 1973 lecturing at the Naval College in public international law and is presently a Commander in the RAN Reserve, rejoining in 2003.
She has been a member of the Senate of the University of Queensland since 1992 and Deputy Chancellor since 2006. |
